We just finished studying pre-algebra so this will need to be a short one. You would think I would know pre-algebra well enough now. At least it's not that made up boolean algebra stuff.
Carissa did have to get a blood transfusion today...her hemoglobin count was barely below 10.0 which was the threshold they had set for her. She had gone 8 days since her last and we are thankful for that. She also had her intake of milk raised to 11 cc's per feeding and we are very pleased with that. Carissa also had another good day on the cpap although she would tell you there are no good days on the cpap. Imagine the old three stooges scene where Moe turns 2 fingers upside down, sticks them in Curly's nose, and then leads him around and you have what a cpap feels like, especially if you are 9 days old and wiggling all around trying to get this awful thing out of your nose. Kristy Luke just added another strike beside my name for the three stooges reference beside the ones she had made for the horse reference and the snuffaluffagus reference. I'm not sure what she is going to do with those but I am pretty sure it is not going to work out in my favor.
Pamela was not quite up to attending church today because she started weaning herself off the pain medication last night to make sure that Carissa gets as good a milk content as she can. I was able to attend and give a choked up summary of what has gone on and how faithful God is thanks to my sons keeping me from getting too choked up. Colton just looked at me all disgusted and said "Stop crying, Dad" and Luke just verbalized a couple of odd noises that distracted me from my own emotions. Seriously, I don't know it can get much better than singing "This is the Air I Breathe" with your church family after you really have been desperate for God. Don't take for granted the privilege of worshiping with fellow believers. Just like the Bible tells us, we need to do it.
Please thank our Heavenly Father for another day in the right direction for Carissa and for her increased feeding.
Please pray that her breathing will continue to get better and that they can begin weaning her off the cpap
I am praying none of you prayer warriors becomes complacent and stops or slows down their praying but that you feel the power of God taking action in response to His children's requests
Please pray that Carissa's blood issues will continue healing, whether via treatment or just supernatural healing
Please continue to pray for the doctors, nurses, technicians, and others working on Carissa's behalf, not just for their ability to help her but also that they would see the real source of her healing
Thank y'all so much for your continued prayers. Know they are producing fruit...and please keep on praying.
Your and His
Terry
