4/17 8:40pm

Carissa Faith Shuffler joined us at 6:25 pm weighing 5#12oz and is 16 1/4 inches long. They she probably wouldn't make it out of the delivery room...but she did! They said she probably would not make it off the deliver floor...but she did! They said she probably would not make it to the NICU but she did! Pamela is doing great and has continued to be a rock as she rests on The Solid Rock. She will probably be in the labor and delivery area overnight and then move sometime tomorrow. We have accumulated so much stuff that we almost had to hire movers...luckily all 4 grandparents showed up just in time.

Carissa is still in serious need of all our prayers but The Great Physician caused us to pay for a lot of extra people that we have not needed so far. Praise God! Carissa did have to get the breathing tube put in but I did get to hear her cry before they put it in. She will likely have a transfusion tonight and may need to have a chest tube inserted because the fluid is keeping her right lung from fully expanded. With her platelets so low they will probably need to do the transfusion before the chest tube.

Please keep praying and I know you won't forget to thank God for all He is done. Our little Carissa is already bringing glory to God and we pray she will keep it going.

Yours and His
Terry
